This past week, I gave a lesson to an awesome riding student, Stephanie Goss, and her horse Hondo. Hondo tends to enjoy doing as little as possible but is generally willing to be a good partner with direct requests, very clear corrections, and sometimes even consequences. Stephanie was frustrated because Hondo tends to gap his mouth when she guides him, generally looks in the opposite direction of her rein guiding, and mostly doesn't honor her neck reining requests. The discussion was so good that we captured part of it, and I'm sharing it in my monthly Coach's Corner email. You can see it here. Hope you enjoy it! BTW, don't miss out on future content. Subscribe to the periodical on this website. See ya there!
